Ladies Prayer Fellowship

The Ladies Prayer Fellowship is a group of women that meets every Thursday morning
from 9:30am to 11:30am. Primarily, they intercede on behalf of the many prayer requests
that come to their attention. In addition, this group ministers outside the doors
of Emmanuel by conducting periodic services at Phoebe Nursing Home
and the Village at Willow Lane Assisted Living Facility.
They also send cards and notes to those
needing encouragement, including military personnel and shut-ins.
A burden has been felt by the group to sponsor such wonderful organizations as CareNet of the Lehigh Valley
and the Veterans Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Through the
Emmanuel congregation, items are collected and distributed to these organizations.
In addition, many of the ladies are sponsoring children from the Slam Jam
ministry.
They provide gifts and notes of encouragement as well as prayer for the children
that they sponsor.
The Ladies Prayer Fellowship also continues to sponsor a child from the Latin American Child Care Ministry.
In addition to the above, the group takes occasional trips to Lancaster for good
fellowship and fun.
