Emmanuel Assembly of God Mission Statement

 

Fulfilling the Great Commission by:

 

1.     Equipping families through study of the Word, prayer and fellowship.

2.     Encouraging believers to do the work of the Lord by reaching out to our community and the Lehigh Valley.

3.     Supporting home and foreign missions, both financially and by direct personal involvement.

Super Bowl Party/Power to Win Outreach – TONIGHT - 6 PM. Everyone is invited to join us in the Chapel for this outreach. Bring a snack to share. During half time we will be showing a Power to Win DVD.  Pastor Watters and Russell Jayne encourage you to bring friends who would benefit from hearing a Gospel message.

 

Sunday School Staff Meeting – this Tuesday, 7 PM. This meeting is for all teachers, helpers and substitutes. Please sign up at the hospitality center if you are planning to attend. See Fran Pyne for more details.

 

Missionary Shahan Teberian; missionary to Armenia – This Wed., February 8^th, 7 PM.

 

Men's Breakfast – this Saturday, 8 A.M. The theme for this year is “Life Changing Moments”. All men are invited to come to hear Pastor Jimmy Rivera’s testimony on how God changed his life. Sign up at the hospitality center.

 

Five Love Languages Class – Every Sunday Evening until March 25^th, 6 PM. This class is excellent for married couples of all ages and for anyone anticipating marriage. Sign up at the hospitality center. Note: Childcare available for ages 0 – 3 years old; please see Michelle Fulkes if childcare is needed.

 

Inclement Weather - Call the Church answering machine one hour before any Church service to inquire on the status of a particular service.  You can check the Church or WFMZ website or listen to WJCS 89.3 FM.

 

Thank you – to all who helped set up, serve and those who attended the seniors’ luncheon on January 26^th. The next luncheon is in March.

 

 

 

Prayer and Praise – Sunday, February 19^th, at 6:00 PM, we meet every third Sunday of the month for a time of prayer and praise. We pray for various needs, but especially for Emmanuel.

 

East Central Spring Celebration – at Morning Star (Bechtelsville). March 17^th, 10 AM – 1 PM.  All ladies are invited to this event. Cost, including lunch, is $20 per person. See Carol Jayne for more details.

 

Time-To-Talk Tuesday – February 21^st, 6:30 P.M. All ladies are invited to join us at Chick-fil-A, Trexlertown, for a time to sit down, relax and enjoy each other’s company. Feel free to bring a friend! Sign up if you are planning to attend. Please see Carol Jayne for more details.

 

Young Adult Fun N’ Games Event – Sat., Feb. 25^th, 6 PM – Everyone ages 18 – 35 is invited to join us for this Fun Night (board games, video games, food & socializing). Sign up at the hospitality center. Contact Stephen Fulkes (610-573-6726) for more details.

 

Newcomers' Luncheon – Sunday, March 11^th, after the morning service. If you began attending Emmanuel in November of 2011 or later, we would like to invite you & your family to join us for the “Meet the Pastors & Board” Luncheon.

 

Greeters and Ushers Training – Monday, March 5^th, 7 PM. - Are you part of any of these ministries? If you are, it is very important that you attend this training. Pastor Watters will be teaching on how to make these ministries more effective.

 

Don’t forget to purchase your Giant cards. If you shop at GIANT, please continue to purchase the Cash for Causes cards. We have $25, $50, & $100 denominations. You can use them for gas, pharmacy or groceries.

 

Healthcare Ministries is a missionary arm of the Assemblies of God. Each person who comes for a medical exam receives a witness of the Gospel and is given an opportunity to receive Christ. We are preparing a box of supplies for this ministry. See Marj for questions.

 

Heating & Air conditioning - $5926.50 of the $22,260 has been received to date. The installation is done. PTL
