Emmanuel Assembly of God Mission Statement

 

Fulfilling the Great Commission by:

 

1.     Equipping families through study of the Word, prayer and fellowship.

2.     Encouraging believers to do the work of the Lord by reaching out to our community and the Lehigh Valley.

3.     Supporting home and foreign missions, both financially and by direct personal involvement.

Ladies Prayer Fellowship – this Thursday - Leaving Emmanuel at 9:10 AM for Perkasie to minister at Hidden Meadows Assisted Living Facility. No regular LPF at the church. See Gloria Horn for more info.

 

Women’s Ministry *Re-scheduled Chocolate Fountain Event*. All ladies are invited to join us Friday, March 12^th @ 7:00 P.M. to see how LOVE made a difference in India. Message Title; “They will know we are Christians by our Love”. Please sign up to bring an item for the CHOCOLATE fountain if you plan to attend.

 

Missionettes Roller Skating – Saturday, Mar. 13^th, 12 – 5 PM. $6 per child for Skating (information regarding additional pricing at the Skating rink can be found next to the M-Pact bulletin board). Girls MUST sign up for this event in the Stars Room by 3/10^th. See Chris Fiorello for more details.

 

Daylight Savings Time – This Saturday. Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour this Saturday night.

 

Seniors’ Dinner/Board Game Event – Mon., Mar., 15^th, 6:00 PM. All seniors are invited to join us; bring a covered dish to share and a board game. Please sign up if you are planning to attend. See Bruce Williamson for more details.

 

Nursery Workers Meeting, Monday, March 15^th, 7 PM. See insert.

 

Are you having trouble hearing the sermon? -  We now have assistive listening devices that will help you to clearly hear the entire service.  Please see the sound person to get a device and give it a try.

 

Healthcare professionals – We are creating a list of people certified & willing to help a children’s or nursery worker when an emergency arises. If you are a Nurse, PA, Doctor, EMT or certified in first aid & child/infant CPR  and are willing to help, please see Ellie Coyne or Marj Williams.  Thank you for your help.

 

Are you NEW to Emmanuel?? If you began attending Emmanuel in October of 2009 or later please join us for a “Meet the Pastor and Board” light lunch on Sun., March 21^st, 12:30 p.m. Please sign up by March 14^th, so we can have an idea of how many to prepare for.

 

Blackwood Quartet – Sun., March 21^st, 6 PM. Tell & Bring a Friend!

 

Easter Candy – Orders for Peanut Butter & Coconut filled Candy are due by Wednesday, March 24^th. Proceeds will go towards the Women’s Ministry to help out with “Women of Purpose convention cost”. Signup sheet available in the lobby; see Carol Jayne for more details.

 

Easter Lilies – If you would like to purchase a lily for $6 each, in memory and/or in honor of a loved one. Please give order forms to Rosa Cody by Wednesday, March 24^th.   

 

Men's Breakfast – Saturday, March 27^th, 8 AM.  All the men are invited to join us for this free breakfast. Sign up at the hospitality center if you are planning to attend.

 

Egg Hunt – Saturday, Mar 27^th, 11 a.m. This event is for all children preschool to 6^th grade. We will need donations of HARD-BOILED COLORED EGGS & individually wrapped candy. Please bring all eggs and candy donations to the church by Fri., March 26^th. Please see Colette or Jeff Danner for more details. (Rain date April 3^rd).

 

Speed-the-Light Dinner - The youth group will be hosting a youth showcase and spaghetti dinner on Saturday, March 27^th; @ 6 p.m. Donations for Speed-the-Light and to cover the cost of the meal will be received at the door. Please sign up if you plan to attend; everyone is invited to join us.

 

“The Passion of The Christ” – Friday, April 2^nd, 6:30 PM – Invite your friends and family to watch this powerful film.

 

Water Baptism Class – Mon., April 12, 6:30 p.m. in the Beisel Center (lower level). See signup sheet in the lobby. Baptismal Service will be on April 25, 6 p.m., in the chapel. Dessert fellowship to follow.

listen to WJCS 89.3 FM. Please use wisdom when traveling in bad weather.
